More Than a Clinic. A Mission.
About

Arketype began in 2011 as Summit Family Chiropractic, founded by Drs. Ryan and Erin Sousley in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. From the start, the vision was simple but bold: create a new standard of healthcare—one that goes beyond symptom treatment and quick fixes to address the true root causes of dysfunction.
What started as a small chiropractic clinic quickly grew into something more. Families weren’t just coming for pain relief—they were looking for answers, for a model of care that restored function, rebuilt resilience, and gave them back control over their health. As those stories of transformation multiplied, our vision expanded to include more locations and new services like functional nutrition, spinal decompression, shockwave therapy, and other tools that empower the body to heal itself.
That growth called for a new name. Summit became Arketype—an identity that better reflects our mission to remove pain, restore purpose, and inspire people to live the life they were created for. Today, Arketype is more than a clinic—it’s a community. And while the methods we use will continue to evolve, our mission will never change: to stand as an alternative to “sick care” and lead a movement of people who refuse to settle for average health.
